"The World is Open"

Dr.Bonk's chapter 1. The Web of Learning in the book "The World is Open" is very interesting. It is filled with vivid descriptions of how our life is changing and helps us to understand how our routine of life will change in modern society of the future.
The sharing of his daily routine was something I could think about how to take advantage of todays modern technologies. For example, if you are packed with schedules that are supposed to happen in different places in a close time, we can still actively participate in both as how Dr.Bonk did. Dr.Bonk had a conference he had to attend at the same time as his student's class. What he did was that he videotaped the conference he was attending and was sharing with students in a class via online broadcasting. After then he conducted the Internet-based videoconferencing to discuss over the conference which they both were able to view.
From here, these web learning tools and methods enables students to enrich their experience by being connected to various places, resources and people. We can see that this is certainly an effective way to save instructor's time as well as a productive way for student's learning experience.
However, the negative part is that as what happened to Dr. Bonk with World Cat teachers, your personal time could be invaded and become restricted since people think that you are always easily and flexibly accessible, approachable and available. Moreever, since your relationship network is expanded to a bigger pool through online networking system, your relationship dynamics can be more complex.
